Please continue working on fair trade money problems at home. For example, Charlie has 5 pennies. Does he need 1 nickel or 1 dime to buy crayons that cost 10 cents?. Does Charlie have enough money? Why or Why not? If you have any questions concerning the math homework, please let Mrs. Barrett know.
Upcoming "Winter Holiday" events are as follows:
12/11/09 "Polar Express" Read Aloud and "Literature Response" with our Book Buddies. Children may wear pajamas to school. No slippers please.
12/17/09 "Winter Holiday Party" in Mrs. Barrett and Mrs. Huddleston's class from 12:45-1:45. If you can help, please complete the handout that was sent home in your child's book bag on last Friday.
Parents are welcome to attend the "Winter Holiday Party." Also, please let Mrs. Barrett know if you would like to help take the holiday tree" down at the end of the party and before dismissal on 12/17/09. Thanks.
12/21/09- through 1/4/09 NO SCHOOL DUE TO WINTER HOLIDAYS! Students return to school on 1/5/10. Teachers return to school for "Teacher Work day" on 1/4/10.
